Tap Connector for Insulated Overhead Lines (ABC)
Plastic connector with inserted contact plates, suitable for installation on live lines.
Based on 20 years' experience of manufacturing ABC tap connectors, a new modular concept was introduced in 1990. Its various options allow for universal application of the connectors.
- Side barriers can be fitted with end caps filled with sealing material to seal the connected conductors better.
- Clamps are supplied with creased contact plates to protect against corrosion.
- A new type sealant made of high-quality material suitable for outdoor use provides long-term moisture protection and shock protection in accordance with international standards (withstands voltage up to 6 kV).
- Available also with shear head for torque control.
- Contact plates: copper alloy
- Body: fibre glass reinforced plastic material
- Pressure plates and screws: steel, hot- galvanized
