Al Elast Contact Disc

Al Elast Contact Discs are used for current-carrying bolted connections of flat terminal surfaces of aluminium to aluminium, aluminium to copper or aluminium to bronze. The Al Elast Contact Discs are placed between contact surfaces on the clamping bolt. During assembly concentric ring-shaped edges pierce the oxide coatings and produce bare metal contact surfaces. Metal-yielding phenomena are compensated by the inherent elasticity of the Al Elast Contact Discs. Sealing rings of Polyurethane- Elastomer prevent corrosion due to electrolytic action of the dissimilar metal components, which means that by the use of Al Elast Contact Discs both Al bus bars and Cu bus bars can be connected to Al bus bars, indoors as well as outdoors.

Assembly indication:
One flexible contact disc and two washers are required per screw connection.
