CONNEX Joint, size 3 up to 52 kV

For outdoor, offshore and underground application.

Caution:
For use underground or offshore the bell flanges of the separable connectors must be made of special material. This has to be mentioned by ordering the separable connectors.

Single-pole, resistant to outdoor, soil-resistant, offshore-proof, plug-in type.

The single-pole connection joint is supplied as factory-built, the contact bushings are integrated into the soil-resistant insulating body. The connection is established by inserting the CONNEX separable connector.

Size 3
The screen connection inside of the joint represents a cable screen up to max. 95 mm².
Soil sensitivity cannot be eliminated at size 3. (Shrinking on a heat-shrink tubing is not possible with joint size 3.)

The connecting rail of the cable screen in the joint is insulated from the joint shield and thus insulated from the bell flange. Thereby for cable sheath fault testing, a test voltage can be applied between the cable screen and earth potential/joint shield.
